Pop with a twist
Award-winning hit songwriter Alex Forbes is a first call for many of New York's finest talents. Her knack for writing singles has helped her place numerous songs on the Billboard Pop, Dance and AC charts, while others have appeared on gold and platinum albums, TV and feature film projects, and an Off-Broadway play. Over 75 songs have been commercially released, including Taylor Dayne's smash hit, "Don't Rush Me."

As a lyricist, guitarist and vocal producer, Alex contributes her unique sensibilities and insights to each writing and recording session. Instead of reaching for the easy cliché, she digs beneath the surface to find lyrics and melodies that ring true.

Stylistically unlimited
With influences that range from the Beatles through Nirvana and up to Lady Gaga, Alex refuses to be limited in her stylistic wanderings. Her releases range from the pop-rock of the new girl band Bloom (featured on hit TV shows The Hills and I Used To Be Fat) to the beat-heavy dance music of "Melt Away" in the Denzel Washington film Déjà Vu, to the heavenly contemporary classical vocals of Hayley Westenra (Universal). "Lights Out," on Central Station/Universal in Australia, recently entered the Club charts there and is making a splash in Germany.
